Q: What is an alias?

A: IncrediNet provides its subscribers with 5 alias addresses which are linked to the primary mailbox. Think of an alias as a separate e-mail address that delivers mail to your primary mailbox. This feature is useful as it allows different members of a family to have their own e-mail addresses.

Q: What is spam?

A: Spam is the electronic version of junk mail. you are sent mail normally containing advertising even though you have not requested it.

Q: Do I have to change any settings on my computer if I move to a different suburb or city within South Africa?

A: If you are using the National 08600 telephone number the answer is no(this is the default telephone number that the IncrediNet installation CD setup on your PC). If however you manually changed the telephone number to Dial into a local POP(point of Presence) then the answer is yes, you must change the POP number as per your new location.

Q: What can I do if my modem does not respond?

A: Try the following steps: 

For an External Modem: 

1. Reset the modem by turning it off, and then on again.

2. Make sure the modem is plugged in to a power socket (check that the lights are on).

3. Make sure the modem cable is properly attached to the modem and to the computer.

4. Make sure the modem is not in use by another application, if it is, then proceed to exit the application, if there is still no response from the modem reboot your PC.

For an Internal Modem:
